However, I’m going to make it up to you with this Friday edition! If you are looking to sharpen up your AI skills and learn more about using AI to make money, this is the (mini) edition for you.

Let Them Play Get Paid

The Dartmouth Men's basketball team's move to unionize is a game-changer, and it's about time. For too long, the NCAA has played gatekeeper, profiting off the backs of athletes while cloaking exploitation in the guise of amateurism. As a former college athlete and coach myself, I've seen firsthand the imbalance in the system.

Enter NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) rights, which started to tip the scales, allowing players to ink deals that would have been unimaginable a few years back. Take Jaxon Dart's deal with a private jet company – it's a far cry from the traditional "scholarship-is-your-payment" narrative. And why shouldn't these athletes benefit? The revenue generated by college sports is staggering, and the idea that a free education is a fair trade-off doesn't hold up when you consider the actual economics at play.

Not every sport rakes in millions, and that's fine. It's time we recognize the value these athletes bring to their institutions and compensate them fairly. The NCAA's structure is crumbling, and frankly, it's a spectacle I'm here for. It's high time this archaic system got a much-needed overhaul.

Waitomo Cave, New Zealand

Venturing into New Zealand's Waitomo Glowworm Caves feels like stepping into a starlit galaxy, only this celestial display is right above your head, underground. The glowworms, Arachnocampa luminosa, light up the cave's ceiling in a bioluminescent spectacle that rivals the night sky. It's an otherworldly experience that proves nature has its own version of special effects, no CGI needed. Just be sure to keep your mouth closed in wonder; these little stars prefer silence.
